While consumer LCD monitors remain clearly visible in normal lighting environments, the same cannot be said if they are placed outdoors in direct sunlight. Another advantage of industrial monitors is the use of industrial-grade components. Such products are more rugged and can withstand challenging conditions such as extreme temperatures, shocks, and vibrations. Better components also improve image quality and the overall performance of the device. At the same time, the components used in consumer LCDs are of average quality, especially mid-range components, as they are usually deployed in office and home environments. Industrial display screens can increase the operating temperature to a wider range, with the temperature reaching a limit of -40 to 90 degrees, while general consumer screens can only reach -20 to 70 degrees. Industrial display screens have upper and lower iron frames to protect the peripheral structure of the screen and make the structure more stable; in order to achieve thinner and more cost-effective, consumer screens generally do not have lower and upper iron frames.
