Basic principle of transflective screen:

   The secret of transflective is the semi-reflective film. Just like the glass of some buildings, some sunglasses and car films. The front is a mirror (which can reflect sunlight and provide a light source for reading in the sun). But the back of the mirror can see through the mirror (providing a channel for the screen backlight).

    Generally, screens are divided into fully transparent and semi-transparent and semi-reflective types according to the "lighting mode". Fully transparent screen - there is no reflector on the back of the screen, and the light source is provided by the backlight. Advantages: excellent reading ability in weak light and no light. Disadvantages: the backlight brightness is seriously insufficient in outdoor sunlight. And add a fully transparent backlight; it can be said that the semi-reflective and semi-transparent screen is a hybrid of the reflective screen and the fully transparent screen. It concentrates the advantages of both, and has both the excellent reading ability of the reflective screen in outdoor sunlight and the excellent reading ability of the fully transparent screen in weak light and no light. The characteristics of the 3.5-inch semi-reflective and semi-transparent screen are: the backlight brightness automatically adapts to the outdoor environment. How strong the outdoor sunlight is, how strong the backlight (sunlight) reflected by the reflective film is. No matter how strong the outdoor sunlight is, you don't have to worry about it. The stronger the ambient light is, the stronger the reflected backlight is. Outdoors, you don't need to rely on additional backlighting equipment at all, so it saves a lot of power outdoors than a fully transparent screen, and the reading effect is also much better.

In addition to the price factor, another reason is that the process requirements are relatively complicated. First of all, the screen must be made of a reflective film on the basis of its own material. Secondly, it must also have a light-emitting board at the same time, which makes it a screen that combines the advantages of reflective screens and transmissive screens, but does not have the disadvantages of both. Outdoors in the sun during the day, the bigger the sun is, the clearer you can see. When there is no sunlight, of course you can see clearly. As for the night, it goes without saying that it is just as clear. In addition, because the semi-reflective and semi-transmissive screen not only emits light by itself, but also uses external light sources, another advantage of it is that the eyes will not hurt the eyes like the transmissive screen if you look at this screen for a long time. It is between the reflective screen and the transmissive screen.
